The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) reports exports of domestically made furniture products at US$1.2 billion from January-July 2024 in Indonesia, after achieving export earnings of US$2.11 billion in 2023. Referring to the figures, Director General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) Reni Yanita said the potential of domestic furniture products is considerable.

The latest data show that China's log imports in January-July 2024 amounted to 21.85 million cubic metres, a year-on-year decline of 6.2 percent; the import value was $3.818 billion, a year-on-year decline of 5.8 percent; the average price of imports was $174.72 per cubic metre, a slight increase over the same period in 2023, when the average price was $173.96 per cubic metre.
