In the second quarter of 2024, prices for softwood logs in Poland fell significantly for hardwood compared to the previous quarter. Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, there was a significant to sharp decline in prices for almost all tree species .
Log Prices Keep Trending Downwards
According to Global Wood Trade Network, industrial timber prices in Poland continued to fall significantly for all assortments in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter. The price of pine fell by 3 percent compared to the previous quarter to € 52.10 per cubic metre, while spruce was also 3 percent cheaper at € 52.10 per cubic metre.
